Radio Frequency (RF) energy is an effective technology for non-surgical smoothing and tightening of the skin.
RF is often used in conjunction with ultrasound cavitation to aid in further fat breakdown, and tightening of the treated area.
The hand piece is slowly rotated over the target area. The hand piece transmits radio frequency waves through the upper layers of the skin to the dermis. This heats the dermis to between 40 & 50°c without burning the skins surface, causing the body to believe there is an injury, which sends a signal to the brain telling it to produce more collagen in the treated area to repair and regenerate tissues.
The heat created by RF, causes the collagen fibres in the area to shrink causing an immediate skin tightening effect.
Full results may take from 2-4 months to be fully achieved. The collagen produced dramatically improves the appearance of scars, acne, stretch marks, cellulite, dark skin spots and more.
Virtually any part of the body can be treated with RF tightening. Popular areas to treat are:
Treatments are typically done in packages of 8 sessions which are 30 mins long each and done every 48-72 hours apart. Increasing your intake of water will help to maximize the results of this treatment but is not necessary to see incredible results.
Results can vary widely between clients as it depends on the area treated, the severity or the problem and the body’s own ability to produce collagen.
Typically, tightening is seen immediately after treatment, and will continue to gradually improve with each session, and 8-12 weeks after all sessions are complete.
If you decide that you would like to continue with treatments after your package of 8 sessions is complete, we require a minimum of 3-4 weeks waiting period in between packages so it gives your body time to produce collagen from the treatments.
